Gilles Parenteau (1961) has combined his classical (pipe organ) and contemporary/jazz musical background to develop his life long dream: a “Virtual Symphony” which he considers to be his masterpiece. Gilles would like his work to honor the tradition of the organ while being innovative by pushing the limit of its original concept through advanced technology. Hence, he wishes to fuse tradition and innovation by delivering a true performance without the use of pre-recordings or sample loops.

 

 Gilles has performed for diverse audiences in Canada,U.S,Japan and Africa. He also has composed numerous works for the CBC (tv and radio) and has written scores for canadian orchestras including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
